Tüberküloz tedavisi gören bireylerin COVİD-19 salgını süresince kaygı düzeylerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi

| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmanın amacı; Covid-19 salgını sürecinde tüberküloz hastalarının; tedavileri boyunca pandemiden nasıl etkilendiklerini, bu süreçteki kaygı düzeylerini ve kaygı düzeyleri ile sosyodemografik özelikleri arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Evrenini 1196 hastanın oluşturduğu araştırmada kolayda örnekleme tekniği kullanılarak İstanbul ilinde bulunan İstanbul Verem Savaşı Derneği, Verem Savaşı Dispanseri’nden sağlık hizmeti alan 132 hastaya ulaşılmıştır. Veriler 2020 yılında hastalarla yüz yüze anket uygulaması yoluyla sosyal hizmet uzmanı tarafından toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. TB hastalarının 48’inin (%36,4) ilkokul mezunu, %42’sinin bekar ve 80’inin (%60,6) erkek olduğu görülmüştür. Hastaların %51,5’inin tedavi sürecinde yardım aldıkları, hastaların %78,8’inin Covid-19 sürecinde aileleri ile kaldıkları, %59,1’inin tüberküloz tanısı aldıkları süreçte ve %69,7’sinin Covid-19 salgın sürecinde çalışmadıkları ortaya konmuştur. Hastaların %83,33’ü sosyal ilişkilerinin azaldığını, aile ve sevdiklerine hastalığı bulaştırmaktan korktuklarını ifade etmiştir. Hastaların %40,91’inin tüberküloz tedavi sürecinde aldığı sosyal hizmet desteğinin ve ekonomik desteğin yetersiz olduğu belirlenmiştir. Covid-19 döneminde yaşadıkları duygular incelendiğinde en fazla stres duygusunu yaşadıkları, en az olarak ise umut duygusunu yaşadıkları görülmüştür. Durumluk ve sürekli kaygı kadınlarda yüksekken emekli ve yalnız yaşayanlarda daha düşük olduğu bulunmuştur. Tüberküloz tanısı alındığı dönemde ve Covid-19 pandemi döneminde çalışanların durumluk kaygılarının ve sürekli kaygılarının daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Sosyal hizmet desteğini ve ekonomik desteği “yetersiz” olarak belirtenlerin durumluk ve sürekli kaygı düzeyi daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Araştırma sonunda, Covid-19 sürecinde TB hastalarının sosyal ve ekonomik desteğin yetersizliğinden dolayı durumluk kaygı ve sürekli kaygı düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Tüberküloz hastalığıyla baş etmek için bu bireylerin sosyoekonomik durumlarının iyileştirilmesine ve bu doğrultuda politikaların geliştirilmesine ihtiyaç bulunmaktadır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to examine how tuberculosis patients are affected by the pandemic during their treatment process, their anxiety levels, and the relationship between anxiety levels and sociodemographic characteristics during the Covid-19 pandemic. In the study, its population consisted of 1196 patients, and using the convenience sampling technique has been reached 132 patients who received health care from the Anti-Tuberculosis Dispensary, which placed in İstanbul, of the Istanbul Anti-Tuberculosis Association. The data had collected by the social worker through a face-to-face survey with the patients in 2020. The obtained data had analyzed via SPSS. It has been observed that 48 (%36,4) of the TB patients were primary school graduates, 42% were single, and 80 (60.6%) were male. It had been revealed that 51.5% of the patients received help during the treatment process, 78.8% of them stayed with their families due to the tuberculosis disease during the Covid-19 pandemic, and 59.1% of them did not work at the time they were diagnosed with tuberculosis, and 69.7% of them did not work during the Covid-19 pandemic. 83.33% of the patients have stated that their social relations decreased, and they were afraid of infecting their family and loved ones with the disease. It has been determined that 40.91% of the patients received insufficient social service support and insufficient economic support during the tuberculosis treatment process. When the psycho-emotional experiences they had during the Covid-19 period had examined, it has seen that they experienced stress the most and hope the least. While state and trait anxiety had seen higher in women, it had found to be lower in people who have been retired and living alone. It had determined that the state and trait anxiety have been higher in the patients who have been working during the period when the tuberculosis diagnosis was made and during the Covid-19 pandemic period. The state and trait anxiety levels have been found higher in those who stated social service support and economic support as insufficient. In the conclusion of the research, it has revealed that TB patients have high levels of state anxiety and trait anxiety due to the lack of social and economic support during the Covid-19 process. There has been a need to improve the socioeconomic status of TB patients and policies should be developed in this direction. | |
