Sigara kullanımı olan ve olmayan bireylerde sesin akustik ve algısal değişkenlere göre incelenmesi

| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmada, gruplar arası karşılaştırmalı model kullanılmıştır Araştırma grubunu 48 sigara içen ve 51 sigara içmeyen katılımcı oluşturmaktadır. Grupta 18-30 yaş arası 51 kişi, 31 yaş ve üstünde olan 48 kişi bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca katılımcıların 50'si kadın, 49'u ise erkektir. Araştırmanın bağımsız değişkenleri sigara kullanımı ile yaş ve cinsiyet, bağımlı değişkenleri ise akustik parametreler (Praat/F0, Jitter ve Shimmer), algısal parametreler (CAPE-V/genel etkilenme derecesi, kabalık, nefeslilik, efor, perde ve gürlük) ve s/z oranı, maksimum fonasyon süresi (MFS) ile ses handikap endeksi (SHE) puanlarıdır. Bütün katılımcılardan ses, okuma ve konuşma örnekleri elde edilmiştir. Çalışmanın algısal bölümünde iki değerlendirici ses kayıtlarını değerlendirmişlerdir. Gruplar arasında anlamlı farkı hesaplamak için Mann Whitney–U Testi kullanılmıştır. Sürekli değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek için Spearman Korelasyon Analizi kullanılmıştır. Değerlendiriciler arasında uyumu ölçmek için Kendall's W Uyum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Kendall's W ölçeği ile yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda değerlendiriciler arasında uyum saptanmadığı için çalışmanın algısal verilerine ilişkin bulgulara yer verilmemiştir. Araştırmadan edinilen bulgular neticesinde; sigara içen bireylerde temel frekans değerleri daha düşük bulunmuştur. Sigara içen erkek katılımcıların içmeyen erkek katılımcılara göre MFS değerleri daha düşük bulunmuştur. Katılımcılarda günlük içilen sigara ile MFS arasında negatif yönlü, SHE değerleri arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki bulunmuştur. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The research design for this study is a between-subject comparison. Comparisons will be made within the smoking and non-smoking groups, as well as between the age groups and gender groups.. The study group consisted of 48 smokers and 51 non-smokers. The group includes 51 people aged 18-30, 48 people aged 31 and over. In addition, 50 of the participants are female and 49 of them are male. The independent variables of the study are smoking, age and gender, and dependent variables are the acoustic parameters (Praat/F0, Jitter and Shimmer), perceptual parameters (CAPE-V/overall severity, roughness, breathiness, strain, pitch and loudness) and s / z ratio, maximum phonation time (MPT) and voice handicap index (VHİ) scores. In the perceptual part of the study, two speech and language therapist rated the voice recordings. .Mann Whitney – U Test was used to calculate the significant difference between the groups. Spearman Correlation Analysis was used to examine the relationship between continuous variables. Kendall's W test was used to measure concordance among raters. As a result of the evaluation, there was no concordance among the raters, so the findings related to the perceptual data of the study were not included. As result of the findings obtained from the research; smokers were found to have significantly lower fundementals frequency values. Smokers men were found to have lower MPT values. Regarding the amount of cigarettes smoked per day, Spearman correlation analysis found that this variable had direct negative correlation with MPT and positive correlation with VHİ values. | |
