Öğe Triz-driven assessment of sector-wise investment decisions in renewable energy projects through a novel integrated q-rof-dematel-srp model(2025) Yüksel, Serhat; Ecer, Fatih; Krishankumar, Raghunathan; Dinçer, Hasan; Gökalp, YaşarNecessary actions should be taken to improve renewable energy investments to minimize the carbon emission problem. In this process, the most significant determinants should be identified for some reasons, such as using human and financial resources more effectively. However, there are limited studies in the literature that prioritize the analysis of these items. This situation can be accepted as a missing gap in the literature. Accordingly, this study evaluates sector-wise investment decisions in renewable energy projects. To do so, a novel integrated q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-ROFS) decision-making model has been generated. Firstly, the weights of the theory of the solution of inventive problems (TRIZ)-driven criteria are computed via the q-ROF decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) methodology. The second stage of the proposed model consists of selecting the most appropriate investment alternatives with the help of the q-ROFS-based simple ranking process (q-ROF SRP). The main contribution of this study is that key sector-wise investment decisions in renewable energy projects can be identified by establishing a novel decision-making model. The main superiority of the proposed model is that the DEMATEL method is extended to the q-ROFS context to determine the weights of the factors. With the help of this issue, uncertainties and subjective randomness in the decision-making process can be minimized. In addition to this situation, causal directions between these indicators can be taken into consideration for this condition. The findings indicate that possible extension with modularity is the most critical indicator for this situation. Similarly, resource efficiency is also found to be the most influencing item. In addition to them, the ranking results demonstrate that waste-to-energy technologies and energy storage systems are the most critical investment alternatives.Öğe Innovative financial solutions for sustainable investments using artificial intelligence-based hybrid fuzzy decision-making approach in carbon capture technologies(2025) Yüksel, Serhat; Eti, Serkan; Dinçer, Hasan; Gökalp, Yaşar; Olaru, Gabriela Oana; Kalaycı Oflaz, NihalHigh costs, technical difficulties, and policy uncertainties are the main challenges in carbon capture technology investments. Therefore, innovative financial products are required to develop projects that overcome these difficulties. Some issues must be considered when developing innovative financial products. An important problem in this process is that these features cannot possibly exist together in the new financial product, because each of these features incurs some costs. Therefore, identifying the most important features of innovative financial products is necessary. Accordingly, this study develops a new and innovative financial product to increase the effectiveness of investments in carbon capture technologies. For this purpose, a novel artificial intelligence (AI)-based fuzzy decision-making model is constructed. First, the weights of the experts were calculated by considering AI methodology. Second, the factors affecting investment in carbon capture technologies were weighted using a spherical fuzzy DEMATEL. Finally, the financial features required for investments were ranked using the spherical fuzzy ARAS method. This study’s main contribution is its creation of a novel fuzzy decision-making model by integrating AI methodology with fuzzy decision-making theory. In this process, the weights of the experts are calculated using an AI approach. It is concluded that cost-effectiveness must be prioritized in the development of new financial products. Technological competence is another aspect that should be considered in this process. However, innovative financial products should include risk management and flexible financing.Öğe A novel fuzzy decision-making approach to pension fund investments in renewable energy(2025) Yüksel, Serhat; Eti, Serkan; Dinçer, Hasan; Meral, Hasan; Umar, Muhammad; Gökalp, YaşarPension fund must consider some significant issues when making renewable energy project investment decisions. It is necessary to determine the most important factors and prioritize the indicators. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to conduct a priority analysis of the determinants of investment in renewable energy projects by pension funds. This study constructs a novel fuzzy decision-making model. First, five indicators for this process are weighted using an entropy methodology based on sine trigonometric Pythagorean fuzzy sets. The CRITIC methodology is also considered to make a comparative evaluation. Second, five different clean energy investment alternatives for pension funds are ranked using the RATGOS methodology. Similarly, this ranking analysis is also made by considering TOPSIS technique to check the reliability of the results. The main contribution of this study is the creation of a new and comprehensive fuzzy decision-making model to identify the most important factors in renewable energy project investments for pension funds. The proposed model uses the RATGOS technique to rank clean energy investment alternatives for pension funds. By considering the geometrical mean in the RATGOS calculation process, criticisms related to existing ranking techniques can be overcome. The use of sine trigonometric Pythagorean fuzzy numbers provides significant benefits to the quality of the proposed decision-making model. The defuzzification process can be implemented appropriately using these sets. Therefore, this study’s findings pave the way for investors to make investment decisions under these circumstances. It is concluded that the most important criterion is risk minimization. Effective regulations are another critical issue. Furthermore, the ranking results indicate that the most suitable renewable energy alternative is green bonds. The comparative results with STPFY-TOPSIS show that the proposed model generates coherent and reliable findings.Öğe A novel approach to prioritizing health technology investments using integrated ai-based ranking model(2025) Gökalp, Yaşar; Eti, Serkan; Dinçer, Hasan; Yüksel, SerhatPurpose – Health technologies are an issue that directly affectsthe sustainability and quality of health services. Due to budget constraints, it is not financially possible for businesses to apply comprehensive improvement strategies to all these criteria. In this case, it is possible for businesses to implement more priority strategies. Accordingly, the main purpose of this study is to evaluate the important performance indicators of health technology investments. Design/methodology/approach – Firstly, with the help of the artificial intelligence system, a decision matrix is established. Secondly, spherical fuzzy total order of preference decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory methodology istaken into consideration for weighting the criteria. Thirdly, emerging seven countries are ranked by using spherical fuzzy MultiAtributive Ideal-Real Comparative Analysis (MAIRCA). Findings – The findings demonstrate that the criteria of health policies and research and development are defined as the most significant factor in this regard. China and Turkey are also found to be the most successful emerging countries with respect to the performance of health technology investments. Originality/value – The main contribution of this study is that a novel decision-making model is generated by integrating artificial methodology into the spherical fuzzy sets.Öğe Innovative solution suggestions for financing electric vehicle charging infrastructure investments with a novel artificial intelligence-based fuzzy decision-making modelling(2024) Kou, Gang; Eti, Serkan; Yüksel, Serhat; Dinçer, Hasan; Ergün, Edanur; Gökalp, YaşarThe right methods for effective financing of electric vehicle charging infrastructure investments should be identified. However, in the literature, there is no consensus on which funding source would be right for these projects. There is a need for a new study to recommend the most appropriate financing strategy for these projects. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to identify innovative solutions for financing electric vehicle charging infrastructure investments. A novel fuzzy decision-making model is introduced to reach this objective. Firstly, the weights of experts are calculated using dimension reduction. Secondly, Spherical fuzzy decision matrix is obtained. Thirdly, the criteria in charging infrastructure for electric vehicles are weighted using Spherical fuzzy criteria importance through intercriteria correlation (CRITIC). Fourthly, innovative solutions for financing electric vehicles charging infrastructure are ranked via Spherical fuzzy ranking technique by geometric mean of similarity ratio to optimal solution (RATGOS). The main contribution of this study is that effective strategies can be identified for financing electric vehicle charging infrastructure investments by establishing a novel decision-making model. Most of the existing models in the literature could not consider the weights of the experts. This condition is criticized by different scholar because these experts can have different qualifications. To satisfy this problem, in this study, dimension reduction algorithm with machine learning is taken into consideration to compute thee weights of the experts. The findings demonstrate that the most effective criterion in the innovative financial solution for the charging infrastructure of electric vehicles is determined as “potential income”. According to the ranking results, it is also defined that the most sustainable solution among the innovative strategies for financing the charging infrastructure of electric vehicles is “blockchain technology”.Öğe Developing an index to measure the value of health care provided to stroke patients(2024) Şengül, Halil; Aydın, Sabahattin; Önder, Emrah; Bulut, ArzuBackground and Objectives: It is possible to evaluate health services for stroke patients based on clinical benefits. However, in recent years, questions about responsiveness and outcomes have also emerged. Currently, there is no index that can assess health‑care services for stroke patients along these three dimensions. This study introduces the first index designed to measure the value generated by health‑care services for stroke patients. Methods: The Case‑Mix Variables Data Collection Reference Guide, developed through a review of national and international stroke guidelines, underwent content validation by 10 neurologists and 10 interventional radiologists. Questions with a content validity index exceeding 0.80, along with the World Health Organization responsiveness questionnaire and the Patient‑Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System Global‑10 short form, were subjected to pairwise comparison by two neurologists, two interventional radiologists, and two public health physicians using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. Results: In the comprehensive ranking of questions formulated using the AHP method and assessed by experts for importance and global weights, new stroke follow‑up emerged as the most crucial, garnering an index score of 0.09. Conversely, questioning patients about their alcohol use status was deemed the least significant by experts, registering an index score of 0.00021. Conclusions: Our AHP analyses have furnished an index for gauging the factors that contribute to the value of health‑care services rendered to stroke patients.Öğe Financial multidimensional assessment of a green hydrogen generation process via an integrated artificial intelligence-based four-stage fuzzy decision-making model(2024) Yüksel, Serhat; Dinçer, Hasan; Acar, Merve; Ergün, Edanur; Eti, Serkan; Gökalp, YaşarIt is widely accepted that there is an urgent need to make green hydrogen (GH2) projects financially viable to reduce global warming. However, any form of improvements to these GH2 projects lead to substantial cost increase. Due to this cost increase, making many improvements negatively affects the financial profitability of hydrogen projects. This is why there is a need for new advanced financial priority analysis tools so that it is easier to develop GH2 projects globally. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to identify and then define the most important factors affecting GH2 generation projects. To achieve this aim, this work proposes a new fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making model based on artificial intelligence (AI). First, experts are weighted with AI technique. Second, the missing evaluations are filled via a recommender system. Third, criteria weights are calculated by the M-SWARA technique integrated with quantum picture fuzzy rough (QPFR) sets. Finally, GH2 energy generation processes are listed by the QPFR-VIKOR approach. Overall, the main contribution of this study is the generation of a comprehensive AI oriented fuzzy decision-making model to make a detailed evaluation with respect to the financial potential improvements of the GH2 generation projects. The main originality of this model is the consideration of AI to calculate the weights of the criteria. Similarly, another benefit of the proposed model, that increases its superiority against other models, is the completion of missing evaluations by experts thanks to the recommender system. It is concluded that the most important criterion affecting green hydrogen investments is organizational effectiveness.Öğe Analyzing energy transition for industry 4.0-driven hybrid energy system selection with advanced neural network-used multi-criteria decision-making technique(2024) Liu, Peide; Eti, Serkan; Yüksel, Serhat; Dinçer, Hasan; Gökalp, Yaşar; Ergün, Edanur; Aysan, Ahmet FarukThis study aims to select the appropriate renewable energy alternatives for the efficiency of hybrid energy systems to increase energy transition performance. For this purpose, a novel neural network (NN)-based fuzzy decision-making model is constructed that has three different stages. In the first stage, NN-based fuzzy decision matrix is created. Secondly, 6 different variables based on industry 4.0 are weighted with the sine trigonometric Pythagorean fuzzy entropy technique. Additionally, another calculation has been implemented with criteria importance through intercriteria correlation (CRITIC) to identify the consistency of the results. Furthermore, in the third stage, considering 5 different renewable energy alternatives, 10 different combinations are identified for hybrid energy systems. The most effective alternatives are defined by the sine trigonometric Pythagorean fuzzy ranking technique by geometric mean of similarity ratio to optimal solution (RATGOS) method. Moreover, to test the validity of these results, another analysis is conducted using the additive ratio assessment (ARAS) technique. The main contribution of the study is that the optimal renewable energy combination required for an efficient hybrid energy system is determined by performing a priority analysis between the variables. This situation has a significant guiding feature for investors. Similarly, the development of the RATGOS technique both increases the methodological originality of the study and enables more accurate alternative ranking. It is identified that the results of all methods are similar. Therefore, this situation gives information about the coherency and validity of the findings. It is concluded that the most important criterion is real-time capability. It is also denoted that the best combination for hybrid energy systems is Solar-Wind.Öğe Analysis of the effect of digital hospital efforts on paper savings in inpatient procedures and on the duration of nursing care services(2024) Volkan, Esra; Köse, İlker; Cece, Sinem; Elmas, ÖzgeBackground: This study has two primary objectives. Firstly, it aims to measure the time savings achieved through the digitization of paper forms filled out by nurses in the inpatient care process. Secondly, it seeks to reveal the financial savings resulting from reduced paper consumption due to the digitalization. The Health Information Management System Society (HIMSS)—Electronic Medical Record Adaption Model (EMRAM), which makes stage-based (0–7) evaluations, serves as a tool to measure the rate of technology utilization in public hospitals in Turkey. The study is based on the HIMSS EMRAM criteria for 2018. Bahçelievler State Hospital, a public hospital in Turkey, was chosen as the research facility. In 2017, it was accredited as Stage 6 with HIMSS EMRAM. However, not all its wards have been digitalized. Initially, pilot selected wards were digitized. Therefore, digital and non-digital wards serve together. In this context, 4 wards were randomly selected and time, paper and toner savings before and after digitalization were measured. Method: A table was created in Microsoft Excel, listing the forms used by nurses in inpatient care and the time required to fill them out.The time spent for filling paper-based forms and digital-based forms was measured in randomly selected wards. Result: The analysis showed that digital forms saved more time, paper and toner. For example, filling out the patient history form took 45?min when using paper, compared to 12?min in digital environment. Approximately 27% time savings are achieved only for the patient history form. The total time savings delivered by digitalization for 1,153 inpatients during the year were found as 117 care days, and the savings on total paper consumption was 41.289 pages. For 1,153 inpatients throughout the year, the total time savings from digitalization was 117 care days and the total paper consumption savings was 41,289 pages. In addition, in 4 wards with a total bed capacity of 25, annual paper savings of $1,705.86 and toner savings of $283,736 were achieved. Discussion: This study reveals the benefits of digitalisation in hospitals for nurses. It saves the time that nurses allocate for filling out paper forms with digitalised forms. Thus, it is a good practice example in terms of using the time allocated for form filling for patient care. When we extend this study to Turkey in general, it can be considered that the time savings achieved by nurses by digitizing inpatient forms varies between 10.8% and 13%. The number of nurses working in public hospitals in Turkey is approximately 160,000. Assuming that 60% of the nurses work in the inpatient ward, it is understood that the annual savings achieved by digitizing the forms corresponds to a range of 398–559 nursing hours. 2024 Volkan, Köse, Cece and Elmas.Öğe The impact of humanitarian aid on financial toxicity among cancer patients in Northwest Syria(2024) Al-Abdulla, Orwa; Sonsuz, Aliye Aslı; Alaref, Maher; Albakor, Bakor; Kauhanen, JussiIntroduction: The ongoing crisis in Syria has divided the country, leading to significant deterioration of the healthcare infrastructure and leaving millions of people struggling with poor socioeconomic conditions. Consequently, the affordability of healthcare services for the population has been compromised. Cancer patients in Northwest Syria have faced difficulties in accessing healthcare services, which increased their financial distress despite the existence of humanitarian health and aid programs. This study aimed to provide insights into how humanitarian assistance can alleviate the financial burdens associated with cancer treatment in conflict-affected regions. Materials and methods: This research employed a quantitative, quasi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test approach, focusing on evaluating the financial toxicity among cancer patients in Northwest Syria before and after receiving humanitarian aid. The study used purposeful sampling to select participants and included comprehensive demographic data collection. The primary tool for measuring financial toxicity was the Comprehensive Score for Financial Toxicity (FACIT-COST) tool, administered in Arabic. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS v25, employing various statistical tests to explore relationships and impacts. Results: A total of 99 cancer patients were recruited in the first round of data collection, out of whom 28 patients affirmed consistent receipt of humanitarian aid throughout the follow-up period. The results of the study revealed that humanitarian aid has no significant relationship with reducing the financial toxicity experienced by cancer patients in Northwest Syria. Despite the aid efforts, many patients continued to face significant financial distress. Conclusion: The research findings indicate that current humanitarian assistance models might not sufficiently address the complex financial challenges faced by cancer patients in conflict zones. The research emphasizes the need for a more comprehensive and integrated approach in humanitarian aid programs. The study highlights the importance of addressing the economic burdens associated with cancer care in conflict settings and calls for a re-evaluation of aid delivery models to better serve the needs of chronic disease patients. The findings suggest a need for multi-sectoral collaboration and a systemic approach to improve the overall effectiveness of humanitarian assistance in such contexts.Öğe A new trend in cryptographic information security for industry 5.0: A systematic review(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2024) Shaikh, Zaffar Ahmed; Hajjej, Fahima; Demir Uslu, Yeter; Yüksel, Serhat; Dinçer, Hasan; Alroobaea, Roobaea; Baqasah, Abdullah M.; Chinta, UmaMalicious assaults and information leakage have grown in importance in practically every area of information and communication technology (ICT) in recent years. There are various indicators of the effectiveness of energy performance management of buildings. Due to this situation, businesses need to make the necessary improvements for the development of these factors. Nonetheless, these actions cause an increase in the costs of the companies. Hence, among these actions, the more important ones need to be identified. Owing to this issue, businesses can use their limited budgets for more priority indicators. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the main indicators of energy performance management systems. In this way, a new model is proposed to make a priority analysis for the hospitals. Firstly, five indicators of energy performance management systems are selected by considering ISO 50006 standards. Furthermore, these indicators are weighted by using Spherical fuzzy CRITIC. Secondly, G7 countries are examined with fuzzy RATGOS technique. Identification of the most significant indicators of the energy performance systems is an important novelty of this study. The most significant methodological novelty of this study is proposing a new technique to the literature named RATGOS. It is understood that energy efficiency is the most crucial indicator of energy performance management. Furthermore, it is also identified that France is the most successful G7 economy with respect to the energy performance management. Japan and United States have also high performance in this respect. It is recommended that necessary actions should be taken to increase energy efficiency. By conducting an energy audit, energy consumption data is analyzed so that energy losses and inefficiencies can be detected. This assessment provides opportunities for energy efficiency and helps identify improvement strategies.Öğe Insurtech in Europe: Identifying the top investment priorities for driving innovation(Springer, 2024) Eti, Serkan; Dinçer, Hasan; Meral, Hasan; Yüksel, Serhat; Gökalp, YaşarThe purpose of this study is to determine the essential indicators to improve insurtech systems and select the most critical alternative to increase insurtech-based investments in European countries. A novel fuzzy decision-making model is generated by integrating entropy and additive ratio assessment (ARAS) techniques with spherical fuzzy sets. First, the indicators are weighted using spherical fuzzy entropy. Then, the alternatives are ranked using spherical fuzzy ARAS. The alternatives are also ranked with the spherical fuzzy technique for order of preference by similarity to the ideal solution methodology. The main contribution of this study is that it would help investors to take the right actions to increase the performance of insurtech investments without incurring high costs. Another important novelty is that a new fuzzy decision-making model is proposed to solve this problem. The results of the two models are quite similar, proving the validity and coherency of the findings. It is found that pricing is the most critical factor that affects the performance of insurtech investments. Insurtech companies are required to make accurate pricing by conducting risk analyses to increase their profits and minimize their risks. Additionally, according to the ranking results, big data are the most appropriate way to improve the performance of insurtech investments in Europe. Big data analytics helps companies learn more about the behavior of their customers. By analyzing data about their customers' past transactions, companies can provide more convenient services to them. This would increase customer satisfaction and enable companies to achieve long-term customer loyalty.Öğe Increasing mobile health application usage among Generation Z members: Evidence from the UTAUT model(Emerald Publishing, 2023) Aydın, GökhanPurposeThe acceptance of mobile health (m-health) applications, especially those of a preventive nature, by individuals, is not well understood. Despite the benefits offered by m-health applications in improving and sustaining health and well-being through various avenues, widespread adoption is yet to be seen. Within this context, this study aims to reveal the enabling factors and barriers that influence the use of m-health applications among Generation Z (Gen-Z). Design/methodology/approachThe Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) was extended with e-health literacy, trust and enjoyment constructs. Data from a survey study on 312 Gen-Z members were analysed via structural equation modelling, shedding light on the reasons why new generations adopt m-health apps. FindingsThe findings indicate that social influence and enjoyment are the most significant factors influencing the use of m-health apps. The significant impact of performance and effort expectancy on intentions was also confirmed by the results. Moreover, privacy risk was identified as a barrier to adoption. The results also indicated that the strong influence of trust on privacy risk can be used to offset those privacy concerns. Practical implicationsThe findings highlight that hedonic motivation, which is commonly overlooked in health settings, plays an important role in m-health app use. Thus, promoting mobile app features that provide enjoyment will be influential in attracting the younger generation. Originality/valueThe context of the study differs from the norm and focuses on a regional health tourism hub, Turkey, situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. UTAUT model is modified with relevant constructs, namely, enjoyment, e-health literacy and privacy risk, to better fit the m-health context.Öğe Does natural resources matter? Nexus among renewable energy policies, technological innovation, environmental protection, and economic growth(Elsevier Ltd, 2024) Yan, Xinxin; Abdalla, Alaa Amin; Zhu, Guohua; Demir Uslu, Yeter; Mohamed, Mady Ahmed Ahmed; Muhammad, Taseer; Shabbir, Malik ShahzadThe objective of this study is to examine the relationship among different sources of renewable energy, role of technology, environment protection and economic growth. This study uses panel annual data set of selected BRICS countries from 1997 to 2019. This study uses the Augmented Mean Group (AMG) estimator, a second-generation estimator that takes slope homogeneity and cross-sectional dependence into consideration. For robustness, the Pooled Mean Group (PMG) estimator has also been utilized. The findings show that the use of renewable energy will rise as income inequality declines. The results of the analysis demonstrate a one-way causal association between income inequality and REC. This finding confirms that a reduction in income inequality will have a major impact on the adoption of renewable energy sources.Öğe Determination of priority criteria in green building transformation: An analysis on the service industry(Elsevier B.V., 2023) Eti, Serkan; Dinçer, Hasan; Yüksel, Serhat; Demir Uslu, Yeter; Gökalp, Yaşar; Kalkavan, Hakan; Mikhaylov, Alexey; Pinter, GaborThe purpose of this study is to identify priority criteria in green (net zero energy) building transformation. For this purpose, an analysis has been conducted for hospitals by considering new methodology. In this scope, firstly, 10 different indicators are selected with the help of literature examination. After that, by using this new methodology, the weights of these items are computed. The main contribution of this study is that a priority evaluation is conducted so that more critical indicators of green building transformations can be identified. Because of this issue, for financial sustainability, companies should firstly focus on more significant factors. Another important novelty of this study is that a new decision-making technique is generated. With the help of this issue, both problems in methodology can be solved and methodological originality can be achieved. The findings show that renewable energy usage is the most critical factor.Öğe Basic electronic health record (EHR) adoption in **Türkiye is nearly complete but challenges persist(BioMed Central Ltd, 2023) Köse, İlker; Cece, Sinem; Yener, Songül; Seyhan, Senanur; Özge Elmas, Beytiye; Rayner, John; Birinci, Şuayip; Ülgü, Mustafa Mahir; Zehir, Esra; Gündoğdu, BerrinBackground: The digitalization studies in public hospitals in Türkiye started with the Health Transformation Program in 2003. As digitalization was accomplished, the policymakers needed to measure hospitals’ electronic health record (EHR) usage and adoptions. The ministry of health has been measuring the dissemination of meaningful usage and adoption of EHR since 2013 using Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM). The first published study about this analysis covered the surveys applied between 2013 and 2017. The results showed that 63.1% of all hospitals in Türkiye had at least basic EHR functions, and 36% had comprehensive EHR functions. Measuring the countrywide EHR adoption level is becoming popular in the world. This study aims to measure adoption levels of EHR in public hospitals in Türkiye, indicate the change to the previous study, and make a benchmark with other countries measuring national EHR adoption levels. The research question of this study is to reveal whether there has been a change in the adoption level of EHR in the three years since 2018 in Türkiye. Also, make a benchmark with other countries such as the US, Japan, and China in country-wide EHR adoption in 2021. Methods: In 2021, 717 public hospitals actively operating in Türkiye completed the EMRAM survey. The survey results, deals with five topics (General Stage Status, Information Technology Security, Electronic Health Record/Clinical Data Repository, Clinical Documentation, Closed-Loop Management), was reviewed by the authors. Survey data were compared according to hospital type (Specialty Hospitals, General Hospitals, Teaching and Research Hospitals) in terms of general stage status. The data obtained from the survey results were analyzed with QlikView Personal Edition. The availability and prevalence of medical information systems and EHR functions and their use were measured. Results: We found that 33.7% of public hospitals in Türkiye have only basic EHR functions, and 66.3% have extensive EHR functions, which yields that all hospitals (100%) have at least basic EHR functions. That means remarkable progress from the previous study covering 2013 and 2017. This level also indicates that Türkiye has slightly better adoption from the US (96%) and much better than China (85.3%) and Korea (58.1%). Conclusions: Although there has been outstanding (50%) progress since 2017 in Turkish public hospitals, it seems there is still a long way to disseminate comprehensive EHR functions, such as closed-loop medication administration, clinical decision support systems, patient engagement, etc. Measuring the stage of EHR adoption at regular intervals and on analytical scales is an effective management tool for policymakers. The bottom-up adoption approach established for adopting and managing EHR functions in the US has also yielded successful results in Türkiye.Öğe Sağlık yöneticilerinin bakış açısıyla sağlık kuruluşlarında risk yönetimi olgusunun analitik hiyerarşi süreci (AHS) yöntemi ile değerlendirilmesi(Türk Kooperatifçilik Kurumu, 2022) Demir Uslu, Yeter; Hancıoğlu, Yasemin; Yılmaz, Emre; Gedikli, ErmanSağlık kuruluşları etkileyen risk unsurları ve bu unsurların beraberinde getirdiği olası kayıplar, arzu edilmeyen gerçeklerdir. More and more people are turning to the internet for answers regarding their health concerns, and for many, this has turned into an unhealthy obsession. The excessive examination of health information on the internet and the resulting increase in health anxiety has been given the name “cyberchondria”. This study aimed to reveal the effects of health education on the expression of cyberchondria by comparing two undergraduate departments, one of which received health education at the undergraduate level and one of which did not receive health education. A total of 418 participants took part in the study. The T-test and Mann-Whitney-U test were used to evaluate the differences between the two variables, while One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and the Kruskal-Wallis test were used to evaluate the differences between three or more variables. The independent variables in this study, which consisted of a range of demographic information, showed no statistically significant difference between the departments. However, when the mean scores of the departments were examined, it was observed that the students who had received health education had lower scores on the Cyberchondria Severity Scale (CSS). This supports the results obtained in some previous studies. As a result, it can be concluded that the availability of accurate and formal health education is an important factor in reducing the levels of cyberchondria.Öğe Hastanelerde marka ve hizmet kalitesi üzerinde sosyal medyanın bir aracı değişken olarak analizi(International Balkan University, 2022) Düzcü, Tuba; Yıldırım, Osman; Zülfikar, Haluk; Demir Uslu, YeterBu araştırma, sosyal medya kullanıcılarının İstanbul'daki bir sağlık grubunun ikinci basamak ve üçüncü basamak üniversite (vakıf üniversitesi) hastanelerinin sunduğu sağlık hizmetlerine ilişkin marka ve hizmet kalitesi algılarını araştırmayı amaçlamaktadır.
