Genç yetişkinlerde bağlanma stilleri ve kişiler arası duygu düzenleme ile romantik ilişki doyumu arasındaki ilişki

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı 18-40 yaş arası genç yetişkinlerin bağlanma stilleri ve kişiler arası duygu düzenleme ile ilişki doyumu arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma, 380'i kadın, 143'ü erkek olmak üzere 523 katılımcı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu araştırmaya katılan bireylerin ilişki doyumlarını ölçmek için "İlişki Doyumu Ölçeği (İDÖ)", yetişkin bağlanma stillerinin ölçmek için "İlişki Ölçekleri Anketi (İÖA)"ve kişiler arası duygu düzenleme becerilerini ölçmek amacıyla "Kişiler Arası Duygu Düzenleme Ölçeği (KADD)" kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmaya katılan bireylerin demografik bilgilerine ulaşmak amacıyla "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen veriler IBM SPSS 23 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma verileri değerlendirilirken tanımlayıcı istatiksel methodlar (ortalama, standart sapma, medyan, frekans, yüzde, minimum, maksimum) kullanılmıştır. Nicel verilerin normal dağılıma uygunlukları Shapiro-Wilk testi ve grafiksel incelemeler ile sınanmıştır. Normal dağılım gösteren nicel değişkenlerin iki grup arası karşılaştırmalarında Student-t testi, normal dağılım göstermeyenlerde ise Mann-Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Normal dağılım göstermeyen nicel değişkenlerin ikiden fazla grup karşılaştırmalarında Kruksal-Wallis test ve Dunn-Bonferroni testi kullanılmıştır. Nicel değişkenler arası ilişkilerin değerlendirilmesinde Pearson korelasyon analizi Spearman korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. İlişki doyumu puanı ile kişiler arası duygu düzenleme puanı arasındaki ilişkide korkulu bağlanma, kayıtsız bağlanma, saplantılı bağlanma ve güvenli bağlanma puanlarının aracı etkisini incelemek amacıyla lineer regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Bootstrapping methodu ile aracı rolün istatistiksel anlamlılığı sınanmıştır. İstatiksel anlamlılık p<0,05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda romantik ilişki doyumu ile korkulu bağlanma stili ve saplantılı bağlanma stili arasında negatif yönlü anlamlı ilişki saptanmıştır. Kişiler arası duygu düzenleme ile saplantılı bağlanma stili arasında ise pozitif yönlü anlamlı ilişki görülmüştür. Ayrıca güvenli bağlanma ile korkulu bağlanma stili arasında yüksek oranda negatif yönlü ilişki bulunmuştur. Bireylerin ilişkiden aldığı doyum bireyin bir ilişki durumuna sahip olması ve ilişki süresinin uzunluğu ve ilişki türüne göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşmaktadır. Yetişkin bağlanma stillerinden korkulu ve saplantılı bağlanma stillerinin romantik ilişki doyumunu negatif yönde yordadığı bulunmuştur.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between attachment styles and interpersonal emotion regulation and relationship satisfaction in young adults aged 18-40. The research was carried out with 523 participants, 380 of whom were women and 143 were men. The "Relationship Satisfaction Scale" was used to measure the relationship satisfaction of the individuals participating in this study, the "Relationship Scales Questionnaire" to measure the adult attachment styles, and the "Interpersonal Emotion Regulation Scale" to measure the interpersonal emotion regulation skills. In addition, "Personal Information Form" was used to reach the socio-demographic information of the individuals participating in the research. The data obtained within the scope of the research were analyzed with the IBM SPSS 23 program. While evaluating the research data, descriptive statistical methods (mean, standard deviation, median, frequency, percentage, minimum, maximum) were used. The conformity of the quantitative data to the normal distribution was tested with the Shapiro-Wilk test and graphical examinations. Student-t test was used for comparisons between two groups of normally distributed quantitative variables and Mann-Whitney U test was used for non-normally distributed quantitative variables. Kruksal-Wallis test and Dunn-Bonferroni test were used in the comparison of more than two groups of quantitative variables that did not show normal distribution. Pearson correlation analysis Spearman correlation analysis was used. Linear regression analyzes were conducted to examine the mediating effect of fearful attachment, dismissive attachment, preoccupied attachment and secure attachment scores on the relationship between Relationship Satisfaction score and Interpersonal Emotion Regulation score. Statistical significance of the mediator role was tested with the bootstrapping method. Statistical significance was accepted as p<0.05. As a result of the analysis, a negative significant relationship was found between romantic relationship satisfaction and fearful attachment style and preoccupied attachment style. There was a positive and significant relationship between interpersonal emotion regulation and preoccupied attachment style. In addition, a high negative correlation was found between secure attachment and fearful attachment style. The satisfaction that individuals receive from the relationship differs significantly according to the individual's having a relationship status, the length of the relationship and the type of relationship. Fearful and preoccupied attachment styles were found to negatively predict romantic relationship satisfaction.
