dc.description.abstractPartially overlapping tones (POT) have recently been offered as a promising solution with the aim of decreasing the interference induced on the users for uncoordinated networks. Since each user causes interference on other users while utilizing the same resources, a reduction on this destructive interference can be achieved with POT concept. In this study, a game theoretical partially overlapping filtered multitone scheme is proposed. Partially overlapping is performed in both frequency and space domains. While intentional carrier frequency shift is introduced in frequency, reconfigurable antennas are utilized to achieve partially overlapping in space domain. Within a game theoretical framework, when users search for the frequency shift ratio, they also select the antenna state to increase the system utility. When the users act simultaneously, joint behavior makes it increasingly difficult to reach the Nash equilibrium (NE). To address this problem, a sequential game algorithm is utilized. As a result, the NE is proved theoretically with potential games and simulations. With this joint partially overlapping game in frequency and space domains, it is demonstrated that the capacity gain at system level is improved significantly.en_US
