Normal işiten bireylerdeki P300 ve santral işitsel işlemleme testleri sonuçlarının arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

P300, kulaklıklar aracılığıyla sunulan modüle edilmiş uyaranların başlangıcından yaklaşık 300 ms veya daha fazla süre sonra ortaya çıkan ve uyaranların birbirinden ayırt edilmesi temeline dayanan işitsel kortikal uyarılmış potansiyeldir. Frekans Patern Testi ve Süre Patern Testi, sırasıyla frekans ve süre bakımından farklılık gösteren uyaranların katılımcılara sunulması ve cevaplara göre skor hesaplanması temeline dayanan iki Santral İşitsel İşlemleme testidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, normal işitmeye sahip bireylerin objektif P300 test sonuçları ile subjektif Santral İşitsel İşlemleme testlerinde elde ettikleri sonuçların ilişkisini incelemektir. Çalışmaya normal işitmeye sahip 34 birey dahil edildi. Katılımcılar, P300 testi ve Santral İşitsel İşlemleme testleri ile değerlendirildi. Elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizlerinde ''SPSS version 20.0'' kullanıldı. P300 latansı ile FPT ve SPT'de elde edilen skorlar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı orta ve yüksek derecede negatif korelasyonlar gözlendi (p<0,01, r=-0,515, r=-0,414, r=-0,610, r=-0,442). P300 latansı arttıkça FPT ve SPT skorlarının düşüş gösterdiği gözlendi. Bu sonuçların, P300 ve Santral İşitsel İşlemleme testlerinin çapraz sağlamasına olanak vererek Santral İşitsel İşlemleme Bozukluğu'nun tanı ve takip sürecine katkı sağlayabileceği ve bilişsel fonksiyonların değerlendirilmesinde rol oynayabileceği düşünüldü.

The P300 is an auditory cortical evoked potential based on differentiation of stimuli that occurs approximately 300 ms or more after the onset of modulated stimuli presented through headphones. Frequency Pattern Test and Duration Pattern Test are two Central Auditory Processing tests based on presenting stimuli that differ in frequency and duration, respectively, to the participants and calculating a score based on the responses. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the objective P300 test and subjective Central Auditory Processing tests results of individuals with normal hearing. 34 individuals with normal hearing were included in the study. Participants were evaluated with the P300 test and Central Auditory Processing tests. "SPSS version 20.0" was used in the statistical analysis of the obtained data. There was a statistically significant moderate and high negative correlations between P300 latency and scores obtained in FPT and DPT (p<0.01, r=-0.515, r=-0.414, r=-0.610, r=-0.442). It was observed that FPT and DPT scores decreased as the P300 latency increased. It was thought that these results could contribute to the diagnosis and follow-up process of Central Auditory Processing Disorder by allowing the P300 and Central Auditory Processing tests to be cross-check, and play a role in the evaluation of cognitive functions.
