Previous EEG studies using emotional stimuli have successfully demonstrated that EEG-brain oscillation responses are sensitive to the valance and arousal of the stimulus. While the valance is represented by increased beta and gamma responses, arousal is represented by increased delta and theta responses. Although the event-related oscillations during visual-emotional paradigms are relatively well-established, the differentiation between visual and auditory emotional stimulation is not fully understood yet.
