This study was planned to evaluate the relationship of intuitive eating and hedonic hunger with dietary quality, mental health and sleep quality and was conducted on 351 individuals. The hedonic hunger status was evaluated with the Power of Food Scale, the intuitive nutritional status with the Intuitive Eating Scale-2, the mental status with the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale, the sleep quality levels with the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale, and the physical activity levels with the Physical Activity Assessment Tool. Dietary quality was evaluated according to Healthy Eating Index-2015 by taking food consumption record. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained, it was found that 50.7% of the participants are intuitive eaters, 49.3% were classified as non-intuitive eaters. It was found that 65.0% of participants had hedonic hunger, while 65.2% had poor dietary quality and 33.6% had a level that needed to be improved. It was found that those who ate intuitively had significantly better sleep quality and mental health status compared to those who did not, while people with hedonic hunger status had significantly worse sleep quality than those who did not (p<0.05). There was a negative correlation between The Intuitive Eating Scale-2 with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale score (r=-0,160) and the Power of Food Scale score (r=-0,190) and body mass index. There was a positive correlation between Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being Scale score and Intuitive Eating Scale-2 score (r=0,339) (p<0.05). A statistically significant correlation (r=0.286) was found between the overall the Power of Food Scale score and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale score (p<0.05). There was no significant association between the Healthy Eating Index-2015 total score and mental health, intuitive eating, hedonic hunger, and sleep quality scores (p>0.05). As a result, intuitive nutritional status is associated with good sleep quality, mental health, and low body mass index, while hedonic hunger status is associated with poor sleep quality.
