dc.description.abstract | In this chapter, fundamental concepts are introduced for the waveform design. Generalized definition of the waveform is given to provide a basis for the discussions in the first two parts. Several relationships for the waveform design are investigated, and then application requirements of different wireless communications standards are discussed. Impacts of the waveform design on radio access technologies (RATs) are examined.
