In the previous chapter, there were methodologies and related software about the quantity of groundwater resources. In practical applications, water quality is another very significant dimension for the planning and joint water resources management. For this purpose, major anion and cation analyses provide basic quality classification information in addition to few composite variable measurements such as the electric conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), and sodium adsorption ratio (SAR). Any chemical analysis and related data processing affairs fall within the water quality domain, which is also referred to generally as hydrochemistry.
