Catherine Bergego skalasının Türkçe standardizasyon, geçerlik ve güvenilirlik çalışması

Abstract

İhmal sendromu, beyin lezyonunun karşı alanından gelen uyaranlara cevap verilememesidir. Değerlendirme için kullanılan kâğıt-kalem testleri günlük yaşamda var olan ihmali ortaya koymada yetersiz kalmasından dolayı Catherine Bergego Skalası (CBS) geliştirilmiştir. Çalışmamızda sağ hemisfer inme tanısı alan hastalarda, CBS'nin Türk toplumunda kültürel adaptasyon, geçerlik ve güvenirlik analizinin yapılması amaçlandı. Çalışmaya hastanemizin fizik tedavi polikliniğine başvuran, çalışmaya katılmaya gönüllü ve sağ hemisfer lezyonu olan inme tanısı almış̧ 15'i kadın, 15'i erkek toplam 30 hasta dahil edildi. Skalanın geçerliğinin incelenmesinde yapı ve kriter geçerliliğinden yararlanıldı. Yapı geçerliği için doğrulayıcı ve açımlayıcı faktör analizi yapılırken kriter geçerliği için Yıldız Silme, Saat Çizme ve Çizgi Bölme Testi kullanıldı. Testin güvenirliği için; iç tutarlılık ve Test-Tekrar Test güvenirlik yöntemlerine başvuruldu. Yapılan analiz sonucunda açımlayıcı faktör analizinde ölçek maddeleri için faktör yüklerinin 0,693-0,914 arasında değiştiği görülmüştür. Kriter geçerliği için kullanılan testlerden Yıldız Silme Testi ile CBS arasında yüksek korelasyon (r=0,651 p<0,01) bulunmuştur. Güvenirlik analizleri sonucunda Cronbach Alpha Katsayısı (0,998) ve sınıf içi korelasyon katsayısı (0,996) 0,90'dan büyük olduğundan ölçek yüksek derecede güvenilir bulundu. Çalışmamızın bulguları doğrultusunda Catherine Bergego Skalası'nın Türkçe versiyonunun geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu, bilimsel ve klinik çalışmalarda bu ölçekten yararlanabileceği sonucuna ulaşıldı.

Neglect syndrome is the inability to respond to stimuli from the opposite area of the brain lesion. The Catherine Bergego Scale (CBS) was developed because the paperpencil tests used for evaluation were insufficient to reveal the neglect in daily life. In our study, we aimed to analyze the cultural adaptation, validity and reliability of the CBS in the Turkish population in patients diagnosed with right hemisphere stroke. A total of 30 patients, 15 female and 15 male, who applied to the Physical Therapy outpatient clinic of our hospital, volunteered to participate in the study, and were diagnosed with stroke with a right hemisphere lesion were included in the study. Construct and criterion validity were used to analyze the validity of the Scale. While confirmatory and exploratory factor analysis was performed for construct validity, star deletion test, clock drawing test and line division test were used for criterion validity. For the reliability of the test; Internal consistency and Test-Retest reliability methods were used. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the factor loads for the scale items in the exploratory factor analysis varied between 0.693 and 0.914. A high correlation (r=0.651 p<0.01) was found between the Star Deletion Test, which is one of the tests used for criterion validity, and the Catherine Bergego Scale. As a result of the reliability analysis, the scale was found to be highly reliable because the Cronbach Alpha Coefficient (0.998) and the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) (0.996) were greater than 0.90. In line with the findings of our study, it was concluded that the Turkish version of the Catherine Bergego Scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool and that this scale can be used in scientific and clinical studies.
