In the study, it was aimed to compare the executive functions of elite athletes who do team sports and individual sports with each other and with individuals who do not do sports. 60 elite athletes participating in national and international competitions between the ages of 20-30, affiliated to the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Youth and Sports and federations, and 30 individuals who did not do sports for the control group were included in the study group. Of the elite athletes, 30 were included in the team sports group and 30 in the individual sports group. The global cognitive skills of all participants were determined by the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale (MOCA); executive functions were evaluated with Forward and Backward Digit Span Test, Stroop Test, Trail Making Test A and B forms (TMT-A, TMT-B) and Tower of London (ToL) Test. Stroop time difference, TMT-A and TMT-B values of elite athletes were found to be significantly lower than those who did not do sports (p<0,05). The ToL total correct score of the elite athletes was found to be significantly higher than those who did not do sports (p0<,05). ToL initiation time and ToL application time of elite athletes were found to be significantly lower than those who did not do sports (p<0,05). The ToL total correct score of team sports was found to be significantly higher than individual sports (p<0,05). As a result of the study, it was understood that elite athletes who do team sports and individual sports have superior executive functions, especially in the fields of maintaining attention, shifting, inhibitory control, planning and problem solving, and team athletes performed better than individual athletes in planning and problem-solving skill.
