However there are only limited experimental studies in the literature enlighting the neurobiological mechanisms of this technique. In the light of these findings, we aimed to review the neuroprotective effect of rTMS in various animal studies. We have shown that rTMS may exert significant neuroprotective effect through acting on the neuroinflammation, excitotoxicity, oxidative stress and A beta aggregation.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessNeuroprotectiveMagnetic StimulationRepetitiveThe neuroprotective role of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for neurodegenerative diseases: A short review on experimental studiesReview Article16161269127310.2174/1389557516666160523145154Q2Q2
