The topics covered voltage-gated potassium, calcium, and sodium channels as well as ligand-gated and mechanogated (piezo) ion channels. The relevant range of physiologies and pathophysiologies covered included taste, pain, neurodegenerative diseases, epilepsy, atrial fibrillation, Parkinson's disease, respiratory disease, and cancer. Speakers also regularly discussed possible clinical applications of their data.
