To the Editor: We thank Tian et al. for their interest in our article [1], which evaluates the efcacy of modifed thoracoabdominal nerve block through perichondrial approach (M-TAPA) in patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) surgery. In our randomized, prospective, single-center study, we compared M-TAPA vs port site local infltration [2]. According to our results, M-TAPA provided superior analgesia compared to traditional port site infltration. Since port site infltration is one of the most common methods for pain control after LC [3–5], we compared M-TAPA vs port site infltration. Tian et al. have performed a few criticisms about our study. Herein, we want to respond to the questions of the authors [1].
