Yenilenebilir enerji yatırımlarının makroekonomik faktörler ile ilişkisi: İşletme yatırımlarına yönelik sürdürülebilir strateji önerileri

Abstract

Enerji; üretim, iletişim, ulaşım, savunma gibi toplumsal ve modern yaşamın her alanında önemli bir yere sahiptir. İnsanoğlunun bir milyon yıl önce ateşi bulması ile medeniyetler ortaya çıkmış, enerjinin hayatımıza zamanla farklı çeşitler ve yollarla girmesi ile günümüze kadar birçok devrim yaşanmıştır. Hayat standartları gün geçtikçe artarken, teknolojik yenilikler beraberinde küreselleşmeyi getirmiştir. Günümüzde ise enerji olmadan hayat sürdürülemez hale gelmiştir. Bu nedenle, hayati öneme ve değere sahip olan enerji, devletlerin politik ve ekonomik anlamda güçlü olması adına değer yaratmaktadır. Enerji, mikro anlamda bireylerin yeme, içme, ısınma, temizlik, sağlık, eğitim, ulaşım, sosyalleşme gibi ihtiyaçlarının karşılanmasını sağlarken; işletmeler ve ülkeler için de sanayileşme, üretim, lojistik, ulaştırma, savunma, iletişim, istihbarat gibi gereksinimleri temin etmeyi sağlamaktadır. Enerji, bu derece zorunlu bir ihtiyaç olması sebebi ile fiyattan bağımsız olarak talep görmektedir. Bu çalışmada yenilenebilir enerji yatırımlarının makroekonomik faktörler ile ilişkisi incelenmektedir. Bu çerçevede, işletme yatırımlarına yönelik sürdürülebilir strateji önerilerinin sunulması hedeflenmektedir. Bu amaca yönelik olarak, Türkiye için VAR modeli yardımıyla bir analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, çalışmanın analiz süreci için altı farklı hipotez belirlenmiştir. Etki tepki analizi sonucunda yenilenebilir enerji yatırımlarının araştırma ve geliştirme harcamaları ve finansal gelişme sonucunda arttığı görülmektedir. Bu durumun da ekonomik büyümeyi arttırdığı anlaşılmaktadır. Öte yandan, karbon emisyonu ve cari işlemler açığı gibi problemlerin de yenilenebilir enerji projelerinin artmasıyla azaldığı görülmektedir. Belirtilen hususlara ek olarak, varyans ayrıştırma analizi sonucunda yenilenebilir enerji yatırımlarının önemli bir yüzdesinin araştırma ve geliştirme harcamaları ve finansal sistemin etkinliği olduğu görülmektedir. Belirtilen sonuçlar dikkate alındığında, yenilenebilir enerji projeleri ile Türkiye'deki önemli makroekonomik sorunların çözülebildiği anlaşılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, yenilenebilir enerji projelerinin arttırılabilmesi için teknoloji yatırımlarına öncelik verilmesi gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Devlet tarafından verilecek teşvikler ile yeşil enerji teknolojilerine yönelik araştırmalara hız kazandırılması gerekmektedir. Vergi indirimi ve düşük faizli kredi kullandırımı burada hayati öneme sahiptir. Ek olarak, ülkedeki finansal sistemin geliştirilmesi de temiz enerji projelerinin arttırılabilmesi için çok önemli role sahiptir. Bu çerçevede, hem para piyasalarına hem de sermaye piyasalarına yönelik etkin düzenlemelerin yapılması önem arz etmektedir. Böylece finans sistemine olan güven artacak ve bu durum da yenilenebilir enerji projelerinin geliştirilebilmesine ışık tutacaktır.

It has an important place in all areas of social and modern life such as energy, production, communication, transportation and defense. Civilizations emerged with the discovery of fire one million years ago by human beings, and many revolutions have been experienced until today with the introduction of energy into our lives in different forms and ways over time. While living standards are increasing day by day, technological innovations have brought globalization. Today, life without energy has become unsustainable. For this reason, energy, which has vital importance and value, creates value for states to be strong in political and economic terms. Energy, in the micro sense, provides individuals to meet their needs such as eating, drinking, heating, cleaning, health, education, transportation, socialization; It provides requirements such as industrialization, production, logistics, transportation, defense, communication and intelligence for businesses and countries. Energy is in demand regardless of price, as it is such a mandatory requirement. In this study, the relationship between renewable energy investments and macroeconomic factors is examined. In this framework, it is aimed to present sustainable strategy proposals for business investments. For this purpose, an analysis has been carried out for Turkey with the help of the VAR model. In this context, six different hypotheses were determined for the analysis process of the study. As a result of impulse response analysis, it is seen that renewable energy investments increase as a result of research and development expenditures and financial development. It is understood that this situation increases economic growth. On the other hand, it is seen that problems such as carbon emission and current account deficit have decreased with the increase of renewable energy projects. In addition to the mentioned points, as a result of variance decomposition analysis, it is seen that a significant percentage of renewable energy investments are research and development expenditures and the efficiency of the financial system. Considering the stated results, it is understood that important macroeconomic problems in Turkey can be solved with renewable energy projects. In this context, it was concluded that technology investments should be prioritized in order to increase renewable energy projects. With the incentives to be given by the government, research on green energy technologies should be accelerated. Tax reductions and low-interest loans are vital here. In addition, the development of the financial system in the country has a very important role in increasing clean energy projects. In this framework, it is important to make effective regulations for both money markets and capital markets. Thus, the trust in the financial system will increase and this will shed light on the development of renewable energy projects.
