During language therapy for clients with developmental language disorders, therapists often rely on naturalistic teaching strategies (NATS). The aim of this study is to determine the awareness and opinions of therapists and parents regarding the use of naturalistic interaction strategies. In the questionnaire forms, 16 naturalistic teaching strategies were illustrated. Participants were asked to enroll to research via e-mail and scoial media channels. Fifty seven participant filled in online questionary. Furthermore five therapist and five parents volunteered to participate in this study. At the beginning of a therapy session, the therapists were given a form listing 16 strategies and they were asked to mark how often they thought they were using these strategies. Therapists then recorded a 15-minute section of their therapy session. After watching the video, the therapists were asked to mark the same form again allowing a comparison each therapist's pre- and post-session view on their use of the strategies. Parents filled out their form after watching the therapist's interactions on the said video. They rated how often the therapist used the strategies during the recorded 15 minutes. The obtained data were analyzed with frequency tables and cross-tables from descriptive statistical methods. The responses to the questionnaires indicate that the therapists thought that they used the strategies of "showing and commenting on non-intentional behaviors as intentional behaviors", "creating a need for help for the child", "creating unexpected situations" less than they thought they would before the therapy session. When the awareness of parents and therapists is compared, it is seen that the opinions of the parents overlap with the therapists or that the therapists think that they use these strategies more often than the parent.. When the results of the online survey were examined, the strategies that therapists think they use frequently enough are "supporting motor movement with verbal expressions", "extending the child's verbal expressions". Strategies which are determined to be used least frequent is "accepting non-purposeful behaviors as if they were purposeful behaviors and making comments"
