Kadınlarda saldırganlık davranışının çeşitli değişkenler çerçevesinde incelenmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada kadınlarda saldırganlık davranışının sosyo-demografik bilgilerin yanı sıra çalışmada ele alınan çeşitli değişkenler çerçevesinde incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Nicel araştırma yöntemi kullanılan bu çalışmanın evrenini, İstanbul’da yaşayan kadın bireyler, örneklemini ise kolayda örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilmiş olan ve araştırmaya katılım sağlayan 511 kadın birey oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanması için Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Buss-Perry Saldırganlık Ölçeği (BPSÖ) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmanın bulguları değerlendirildiğinde, yapılan analizler sonucunda katılımcıların yaşları arttıkça saldırganlık, öfke ve düşmanlık davranışlarının azaldığı bulunmuştur. Katılımcıların düzenli bir işte çalışma, medeni durum ve psikolojik sağlık problemine sahip olma durumlarına göre, ölçeğin fiziksel saldırganlık ve düşmanlık alt boyutunda anlamlı bir farklılık görülmüştür. Katılımcıların eğitim düzeyine göre saldırganlık, fiziksel saldırganlık ve düşmanlık alt boyutunda; aile tipine göre fiziksel saldırganlık, düşmanlık ve öfke alt boyutunda; katılımcıların öfkeli durumlarda tepki gösterdiği kişiye göre saldırganlık, düşmanlık ve öfke alt boyutunda anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Tek ebeveynli aileye mensup katılımcıların sıra ortalamalarının diğer aile tiplerine dahil olan katılımcılardan anlamlı şekilde daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Kadınların bu araştırmada incelenen çeşitli sosyo-demografik özelliklerinin saldırganlık davranışlarını etkilediği bulunmuş olup konu ile ilgili öneriler sunulurken kamu sorumluluğunun önemi de değerlendirilmiştir.

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the aggressive behavior in women with regard to socio-demographic determinants and the other factors discussed. Method: The population of this study, which a quantitative research method used, consisted of female participants living in İstanbul, and the sample of this study consisted of 511 females selected by convenience sampling method. The personal information form and Buss–Perry Aggression Scale (BPAS) were used to collect data. Results: According to study results, it was found that with the increase in ages of participants, contrariwise, the behaviors of aggression, anger, and hostility decreased. A significant difference was observed in the physical aggression and hostility sub-dimensions of the scale, according to the status of participants such as having a regular job, marital status, and psychological health problems. A significant difference was found depending on the education level of the participants, in the sub-dimension of aggression, physical aggression, and hostility; depending on family type, in the sub-dimensions of physical aggression, hostility, and anger sub-dimension; depending on the person the participants reacted to in angry situations, in the sub-dimensions of aggression, hostility, and anger. It was determined that the mean rank of the participants from a single-parent family was significantly higher than the participants from other family types. Conclusion: According to this study, it has been found that the socio-demographic characteristics of women affect their aggression behaviors in this context, the importance of the government's responsibility on the subject was also emphasized with the suggestions.
